NF affects over two million people worldwide.

Neurofibromatosis (NF) is a progressive genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on the coverings of the nerves. The effects of NF are unpredictable and the symptoms have varying degrees of severity. NF is one of the most common genetic disorders, affecting one in every 2,500 births and affecting more than 100,000 people in the United States and 2 million people worldwide.

More people suffer from NF than Muscular Dystrophy,
Tay-Sachs and Huntington’s Disease combined.
